What is Starbucks White Chocolate Macadamia Cream Cold Brew?
The Starbucks White Chocolate Macadamia Cream Cold Brew is a new cold brew beverage Starbucks unveiled this summer. It is extremely high in demand and it has been sold out in many locations. I am personally a huge fan of this new drink since I like my coffee a little nutty.
This drink combines Starbucks’ signature cold brew coffee sweetened with macadamia nut flavor syrup, and it’s topped with a silky white-chocolate macadamia cream cold foam. The beverage is then finished with toasted cookie crumbles for an extra touch of flavor and texture [1, 2].
Starbucks describes this drink as having a balanced and smooth taste, offering a summer twist to their traditional cold brew [1]. In terms of nutritional value, this drink has 240 calories, 30g of sugar, and 11g of fat [2].
Why Make It At Home?
Making Starbucks drinks at home can offer a range of benefits.
First, this drink is currently in high demand due to its unique combination of flavors. Its popularity has skyrocketed, making it hard to find in many Starbucks locations.
Secondly, it allows you to control the ingredients, letting you adjust the sweetness, caffeine level, and even substitute for dietary preferences or restrictions. There are many reasons why you would want to control your caffeine intake, please see 5 Reasons to Consider Cutting Back on Caffeine for more information.
Lastly, it can be more cost-effective in the long run than frequently purchasing drinks at a Starbucks store. You also have the freedom to experiment and customize the drinks according to your taste. For example, you can adjust the amount of caramel in a caramel macchiato or add more chocolate chips to your Frappuccino [1, 3].
There are so many fancy terms in the coffee world, if you would like to learn more, here’s a guide from KT Likes Coffee that is easy and fun to understand.

Step-by-Step Instruction
1. Roasted Cookie Crumble – Garnish
- Crumble cookie into tiny pieces – easiest and cleanest way is to put the cookie into a small snack bag, close the bag, then use a rolling pin or a small pot bottom to crumble it into pieces. Optional: you could put it into the oven to roast it, which is what Starbucks does.
- Put cookie crumbles into a cookie sheet.
- Bake at 350°F for 2 minutes.
2. Making Macadamia Cold Foam
- Combine all cold foam ingredients in a tall cup.
- Use a frother to froth the mixture until it foamed up.
NOTE: Alternatively, if you do not want to use a frother or if you are making a big batch of cold foam, you could use a blender or mixer to froth up the milk as well.
3. Assembling Cold Brew Coffee
- Add macadamia nut syrup to the bottom of the cup.
- Add cold brew coffee.
- Add ice – leave a couple of inches at the top.
- Add macadamia cold foam.
- Add cookie crumbles as garnish.
